Double-Blister Package Sets Surgical Device Apart Manufacturers often use packaging to differentiate consumer products vying for attention on store shelves. This was the question posed by executives at Remington Medical Inc., a supplier of cardiovascular medical devices. Remington decided to give its vascular introducer set, which is used to implant pacemakers in hearts, a new double-blister package that's easier to handle and provides more assurance that sterility will be maintained in the operating room than the original single-blister package.
